We are Rmaa Farmer Producer Company Limited, located at 01 Rudra Narayan near the Old Post Office in Basti. Being near the old post office means we are in a part of town that everyone knows. Our setup is pretty straightforward. We work with farmers from around the Basti area to help get their produce sorted and sold. It’s not a glamorous job. Most of the time, our boots are muddy and we are busy talking on our phones to people in the market. We started this because we saw that working alone wasn't helping anyone get ahead. By coming together as a producer company, we can handle the bigger tasks that one person can't do by themselves. The people who work here are local. We know the lanes and the families who have been farming this ground for generations. We don't have a polished corporate look. Our office is a place for work, filled with registers and maybe some samples of grain. We talk in plain English and the local dialect because that is what people understand. It’s about being practical and getting the job done. If a farmer has a problem with their crop, they know where to find us. We don't make big promises, we just try to help out with the day-to-day realities of farming in Uttar Pradesh. It’s a quiet but steady kind of life, and we are fine with that.
