Amiliya Farmer Producer Company Limited

Amiliya Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Basti, specifically in the Imaliyap Baghanala area. We operate out of Jhinnan’s place, which is house number 01. It’s right near the water, and you can usually hear the sound of the town from the front door during the day. We spend a lot of time just organizing things for the farmer group. Basti is a place where people work hard, and we try to do the same in our little office. The setup is pretty basic, just a few chairs and a wooden table where we keep the ledgers. We spend most of our time talking to the local people who come in with questions about their seasonal produce. Sometimes the internet connection is slow, so we do a lot of things by hand on paper. It’s a bit old-fashioned but it works for us and keeps things moving. We see the seasons change through the different crops that people bring by or talk about at the market. When it’s monsoon time, everything slows down a bit because of the rain, but there is still plenty to coordinate. We don't have any big corporate goals or fancy mission statements. We just want to keep the operations running smoothly for everyone involved in the company. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the land and the people well. It’s just a normal day of work, every single day, making sure the records stay updated.
