If you are looking for us, we are near the Baram Baba Ka Mandir in Bhuwarniranjanpur. That temple is the main landmark everyone uses around here in Basti. Our office is at Nisha Devi’s house, which is just a regular home like any other in the village. We called ourselves Narayanpur Farmer Producer Company because we wanted a name that sounded solid, but we are just everyday people working the land. We spend our time trying to organize things so that the small farmers in our area don't have to struggle so much on their own. It is a lot of back and forth, talking to people in the village and making sure everyone is on the same page. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most of our news spreads by word of mouth while we are out in the fields or sitting by the temple in the evening. The work isn't easy and the heat in Basti can be really tough during the summer months. But we have been doing this for a long time now. We know the dirt and we know the crops that grow best here. We aren't some big company from the city. We are just local folks trying to get a fair shake for our harvests. It is just about getting the work done and looking out for the people we’ve known our whole lives.
