Aromed Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in South Basti, right near the old Rammill. You can find us at Ranjana Singh’s place. Being near the mill is handy because it’s a spot everyone knows. We are just a group of local growers who wanted to make sure we were getting a fair deal. Farming can feel pretty lonely when you are just one person against the big markets, so we formed this company to have each other's backs. We focus on what grows well in this soil and try to keep things moving. We don't have any corporate training or slick talk. We just know what a healthy plant looks like and how much work it takes to get it there. Most of our meetings happen while we are leaning against a truck or sitting on some sacks. It’s a very local operation. Ranjana helps keep the records straight, which is a big help because the rest of us would rather be outside. We deal with the typical problems like bad weather or rising costs of supplies. It's not a glamorous job, but it’s important to us and our families. We just take it one day at a time and try to make sure we are doing things right for the long run. There is always work to be done and we are just the people doing it. It keeps us on our toes every season.
