Sasha Restaurant

We've been over here at Sormistha Residency for a while now. People usually find us easily because we're right by the More Store and the Ramkrishna Mission. It’s a busy spot in Asansol on Releigh Road. If you live around Vivekananda Sarani, you probably pass us all the time. Our kitchen keeps things simple. We don't have a big fancy setup, just a regular place where you can get something to eat without any fuss. The tables are basic and the chairs are just chairs. We spend most of our day prepping vegetables and making sure the stove is hot when people start coming in for lunch. It gets a bit loud when the local crowd gathers, but that’s just how it is. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the market didn't have what we needed that morning. We try to keep the place clean, though it’s an old building so it has its quirks. My cousin helps me out with the orders when it gets packed. We don't really do anything special for decor, just some lights and the menu on the wall. It’s mostly just us cooking and serving whoever walks through the door. Most of our regulars come from the neighborhood or are visiting the mission nearby. We’ve seen the road change over the years, more cars and bikes now. If you're looking for a quiet, expensive-looking place, this isn't it. We just serve food.
