Netaji Restaurant

Netaji Restaurant is part of the Visitors Lodge Complex on Dr. B. C. Ray Avenue here in Durgapur. Being located inside a lodge complex means we see a lot of different faces every day. We get the people staying in the rooms and also folks just passing through Durgapur for work. The restaurant is a simple setup. We have basic wooden tables and chairs that have been around for a long time. The paint on the walls might be a little faded in some spots, but it doesn't bother anyone much. We start our day early to get things ready for the breakfast crowd. The smell of the kitchen usually fills the hallway of the lodge by 7 AM. It’s a busy street outside on Dr. B. C. Ray Avenue, so there’s always noise and movement nearby. We don’t have a big fancy menu with things you can't pronounce. We just cook what people like to eat when they are away from home. The staff is just a few of us who have worked together for years, so we don't really need to say much to each other to get things done. We just know the routine and how to handle the rush. It’s a practical place for a meal. You come in, you eat, and you go about your business. We like the regular pace of it all and being a part of this little complex in Durgapur.
