Dawat e Biryani

Our shop is on Gurudwara Road in the Benachity area of Durgapur. It’s a very busy street, especially because of the market. We are right in front of Banik Hardware, which is a big shop that everyone knows. If you’re looking for us, just look for the hardware store and then turn around. Benachity is the heart of the city for shopping, so there’s always a crowd. We started this place because we saw how hungry people got while walking around the market. It’s not a big restaurant, just a place to get some biryani and move on with your day. We have a few tables, but a lot of people just take their food to go. The smell of the spices usually fills the air around our entrance. We don’t use any fancy advertising. We just rely on the people walking by. Our staff has been with us for a long time. We know the other shopkeepers on the road and we all look out for each other. Durgapur can get quite hot, so we try to keep the place as cool as possible for the customers. It’s a simple life running a biryani spot. We wake up early to start the cooking and we don’t stop until the last pot is empty. That’s usually by the end of the evening. It’s hard work, but we are used to it by now. We don't bother with fancy stuff.
