Sidhukanhu Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over in Soro, which is part of the Pukuria post office area. We operate out of Matilal Kisku’s place. It’s a honest kind of operation where the local farmers come by to chat about the harvest. We have a lot of different crops growing in this part of the region and everyone has their own way of doing things. Some of us prefer the old ways while the younger guys are always trying to bring in new ideas they heard about. We don't always agree on everything, but that is just how it goes in a small town. The office doesn't have much in it, just some chairs and a table where we figure out the logistics of moving the produce to the markets. It can be a real struggle when the roads get bad after a storm. We try to help each other out when someone’s tractor is stuck or if a family falls behind on their picking. That is the whole point of being a producer company, even if the name sounds a bit formal for what we actually do. Matilal is usually around if anyone needs to drop off documents or ask a question about the next meeting. We aren't looking to become some huge corporation. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields pays off at the end of the month.
