Swarnachuda Women Farmer Producer Company Limited

In the Nilagiri area of Balasore, a group of us women farmers got together to form this company. We are located at Kartick Ch Behera’s place in Machhuaps. It’s a quiet village spot where we focus on our crops. We don't have a corporate office with a receptionist. We just have our local community. Most of us have been working these lands for a long time. This producer company helps us handle our business better. It’s all very local. We don't spend money on marketing. We'd rather spend it on seeds or tools. Balasore is a good place for farming, and Nilagiri has its own way of doing things. We work hard under the sun. It’s not a life for everyone but we like it. The 756020 area is where we live and work. We don't make big speeches. We just get the planting and harvesting done. Sometimes the crops don't grow like we want, but that's life. We support each other as women in this industry. It's nice to have a group you can rely on. If you stop by Machhuaps, you'll see what we mean. It’s just us doing our daily chores and managing the producer side of the farm. We keep our records in a simple way. It’s a very basic operation but it works for us. We are just local farmers making a go of it. Everyone here knows each other and we help out.
