Subarnarekha Fishers Producer Companylimited is based right here in Krushnanagar, near Sankar Behera's place. We deal with fishing stuff around Chandaneshwar and Talsari Marine. It’s mostly just a group of us from the Balasore area trying to make things work together. The office is easy enough to find if you know the post office nearby. Living near the coast means we are always busy with whatever the water gives us. It’s hard work, getting up early and dealing with the boats and the nets every single day. Some days are better than others, depending on the tide and the season. We don't have a big fancy setup, just a small place in the village where we meet up to talk about the catches and the prices. Being a producer company means we try to help each other out instead of doing it all alone. The weather in Baleshwar can be a bit rough sometimes, especially during the rains, but we manage to keep going. It’s a local thing, mostly people who have lived here their whole lives. We know the area well and everyone pretty much knows everyone else around the Krushnanagar spot. There’s no big secret to what we do, just regular folks handling fish and trying to keep the business running. If you walk past the post office and ask for Sankar's place, you'll find us. It’s quiet mostly, until the catch comes in.
