Our place is over at Plot No 21 in Raghunath Pur, which is near Dunguraps in the Khaira area. Kansha Bansha Farmer Producer Company Limited is a name we picked to represent our local roots. We aren’t some big corporation from the city. We are just a group of farmers who live right here. Plot No 21 is where we keep our records and meet up to make plans. It’s a practical setup. We have a desk, some plastic chairs, and a calendar on the wall that’s covered in notes about planting dates and meetings. We started this because it was getting harder for one person to buy equipment or sell their harvest alone. By joining up, we can share the load. It’s not always easy. We have plenty of long meetings where we don't always agree on everything. But at the end of the day, we are neighbors. We see each other at the store and at the festivals. We care about this land and making sure it stays productive for the next generation. We handle the business side of farming as best as we can, even when the paperwork feels like too much. It’s an honest living and we are proud of what we’re building here in Khaira. We don’t have fancy ads or a big website. We just have our word and the work we do every day in the fields.
