We are based out of Plot No. 18 in Village Simulia, specifically the Simuliapo area. We are care of Champaklata Barik. The company name is Baba Kusaleswar Soro Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s a long name for a simple operation. We are basically a group of farmers from Simulia. The office is part of a house. It feels very homey because it basically is. We don't have a big corporate lobby. You just walk in and someone will be there to help you out. We talk about seeds, the rain, and how to get the best price for our produce. Being in Soro, we are quite connected to the local markets. Champaklata’s place is easy to spot. We spend most of our time out in the fields, so the office is mostly for the paperwork side of things. We have a few desks and some files stored away. It gets busy during the planting season. Everyone comes by to discuss what they are putting in the ground. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just talk to each other. It’s a very local way of doing business. We are just trying to help the farmers here in Simulia get by. It’s not fancy, but it works for us. We just keep things moving day by day. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just work by the window light.
