Purab Engineering

Purab Engineering is located at K- 12 in the GIDC area of Kansari, over in Khambhat. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other shops doing similar heavy work. We deal with engineering stuff, mostly metalwork and parts. It's a loud environment with the sound of grinding and welding going on most of the day. The shop floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the afternoon. We sweep up, but it always comes back the next morning. We’ve been in Khambhat for quite a while now. The GIDC is a busy place, lots of trucks coming and going. Our building is just a standard shed like the others, nothing special to look at. We have our lathes and milling machines set up just the way we like them. Sometimes it gets really hot in the summer, and the fans just move the warm air around. We drink a lot of water and just keep working. We aren't fancy engineers with degrees from big city schools; we just know how to make things fit and how to fix what’s broken. Most of our business comes from word of mouth from other local shops. We don't have a big sign out front or anything. If you know where K- 12 is, you can find us. It’s just a place where work gets done every day and we try to get home before dark.
