Suryavansi Foods

You can find us at Suryavansi Foods on Amritsar Road. We are at Shop No. 100 on Street No. 4, which is right near Bath Palace. If you are familiar with that part of town, you know it can get pretty crowded during the wedding season because of the palace nearby. Our shop is just a simple place where we handle different food products. We don’t go in for anything flashy. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the sign outside has faded a bit from the sun, but inside, we keep things organized the best we can. Most days, I’m here from early morning until the sun goes down. It’s a lot of repetitive work, checking the quality of the grains and making sure the orders are ready for whoever is coming to pick them up. Sometimes the traffic on Amritsar Road makes it hard for the delivery trucks to get in, so we have to carry things by hand to the corner. It’s a lot of sweat and hard work, but we don’t mind it. We’ve been part of this street for a long time. We know the tea seller next door and the people who work at the other shops around us. It feels like home. We just focus on getting our work done and making sure we don't make mistakes with the orders.
