Boss The Chef

Boss The Chef is our place on Majitha Road in Amritsar. We are situated near Ghala Mala Chowk, which is a fairly well-known spot in the 143002 area. We started this because we wanted to cook for the local crowd. It’s not a massive restaurant with waiters in suits. It’s more of a place where the food is the main thing. We spend a lot of time by the stove making sure things taste right. Amritsar is a city that loves its food, so we have to be careful and work hard every day. We aren't trying to be the most famous place in town, just a reliable one. The traffic on Majitha Road can be quite something, but once people step inside, it’s a bit different. We handle everything from the cleaning to the ordering of spices ourselves. We don't have any corporate backing or investors. It’s just us running a small business the way we think is right. Sometimes the floor is a bit worn or the paint isn't perfect, but that’s because we’re busy working. We don't use scripted greetings or marketing tricks. We just tell people what’s on the menu today and get to work. It’s an honest way to make a living and we’ve been doing it like this for a while now. People know us at Ghala Mala Chowk, and that’s enough for us. We just keep our heads down and focus on the next meal we have to prepare.
