Indian Bites

Started Indian Bites a while back here in the Keep Fit Gym Building. People in Amritsar know where we are, right in the 143006 area of Akhara Kali. It’s a busy spot with folks coming in after their workouts or just passing through the neighborhood. We do not have fancy decorations or anything like that. It is just a small place where we make food every day. I’ve lived in Amritsar my whole life so staying in this part of town felt right. We keep the kitchen running most of the day. Some people think it is funny we are inside a gym building, but it works for us. We just focus on the cooking and making sure things are ready when someone walks in. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the gym upstairs, but that is just how it is here. We have our regulars who come by often and know my name. We do not do much advertising because most people just find us by walking past. The address is Akhara Kali, and we’ve been here long enough that most neighbors recognize the sign. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a few of us working together to keep the stove hot. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning the tables to taking the orders at the front. It is a simple way to spend the day. Usually, I am the one who opens up the shutters in the morning and checks if we have enough supplies for the afternoon rush.
