Galley Machine (India)

Galley Machine (India) is located at number 17 in Guru Nanak Nirankari Colony. We are right near the canal on Sultanwind Road, which is a landmark most people in this part of town use to find us. The area has a bit of an industrial feel to it, with lots of trucks moving back and forth and the sound of metal hitting metal coming from the nearby shops. Our building is a sturdy one, built to handle the weight of the machines and the constant activity. Inside, there is always a layer of fine dust on the windowsills, no matter how much we clean, but that is just what happens when you work near a busy road and a canal. We start our day when the sun is still low, and usually, the first thing we do is oil the parts and check the power lines. It is noisy work, so we don't do much talking while the machines are running. During lunch, we sit out in the shade if there is a breeze coming off the water, though the canal isn't always the freshest place to be. We have a small crew, and everyone knows their role without having to be told. There are no big meetings or long speeches here. We just look at the schedule and get to it. It is a honest way to spend the day, and by the time we lock up in the evening, we are usually pretty tired but satisfied with what we finished.
