Babboo Rice & General Mills

Babboo Rice & General Mills is located on Taran Taran Road, right near the Sangrana Sahib Gurdwara. It is a special place to be because you can often hear the prayers and the music coming from the Gurdwara throughout the day. It gives the whole area a very calm feeling, even though we are busy working with heavy machinery. The mill itself is a place of constant activity. We get trucks coming in from the surrounding farms loaded with rice, and the sound of the gates opening and closing is constant. The name "Babboo" is something people around here recognize easily. We have been part of the Taran Taran Road landscape for a long time. The dust from the rice husks tends to settle on everything, so we are always dusting off our desks and the equipment. It is a general mill too, so we handle more than just one thing depending on the time of year. We have a lot of regular customers who stop by just to say hello or to see how the season is going. It is a friendly atmosphere, even when we are under pressure to get a large order finished. We don't have a lot of formal rules; we just make sure the work is done right and the bags are ready for the morning transport.
