Orchid Marine

The office is located in Anwar Palace over in Chandiroor. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the big cities, and being near the water means there is usually a bit of a breeze coming through. We handle a lot of things related to the sea, which makes sense given where we are. Chandiroor is a place where a lot of people are involved in the seafood business or shipping, so we fit right in. The office in Anwar Palace isn't anything special, just a few rooms where we manage the paperwork for the boats and the cargo. We spend a lot of time on the phone with the docks or checking on the weather reports. Sometimes things get a bit stressful when a shipment is delayed, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with the ocean. We have a small team and we’ve all known each other for a long time. There is usually a pot of tea going and some old maps on the wall. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for years or heard about us through word of mouth. It’s a slow-paced life sometimes, but when the season is busy, we’re here late into the night. It’s just how it is working in the marine trade.
