Yatindra Tent House

Yatindra Tent House is over in Civil Lines at Shopo Ka Bada, near the Shiv Mandir. It is a good spot, and we often hear the temple bells throughout the day. We have been working from this location for quite a few years now. The space is always full of stacks of chairs and bundles of fabric leaning against the walls. We spend a lot of our time just maintaining the gear so it stays in one piece. If a chair leg gets loose, we have to hammer it back, and if a drape gets a stain, we have to wash it by hand. It is a never-ending cycle of cleaning and fixing things. We don't use any big words to describe what we do; we just do the work as it comes to us. Sometimes the temple has a large function, and we are right there helping them set everything up. The guys who work with me are all from the local area, and we know how to get things done quickly. It is a lot of hard manual labor, and my joints definitely feel the cold during the winter months. We keep a small stove in the back for making tea during our breaks. It is just a regular local business, trying to keep everything organized and ready for the next person who needs a tent.
