New Narayan Tent House

New Narayan Tent House is located near the busy intersection of Jaipur Road and Makarawali Road. We are positioned right by Panchsheel Colony, which is a very active part of town. We get a lot of people passing by our shop every single day. We started this because there was a clear need for tent services in this specific neighborhood. Our storage space is completely filled with metal poles, lights, and large bundles of heavy cloth. It can get very cramped inside when we are trying to find specific items for a job. We spend a lot of time checking the ropes and making sure the metal stakes are not bent or broken. When someone in Panchsheel Colony has a party or a small function, they usually come and find us. We do not have any big signs or advertisements. Most people just know we are here on the corner because we have been around for a while. The wind can be a real problem sometimes when we are setting up, especially out toward the open areas of Makarawali Road. We just handle these issues as they come up. Some weeks are completely packed with work and we barely get any sleep, while other weeks we just sit around the shop waiting for the phone to ring. We drink a lot of tea during the quiet times. It is a very honest and basic way to make a living.
