Preeti Tent House

Preeti Tent House is tucked away in the Shantipura neighborhood, which is located over by Anasagar Road in the Vaishali Nagar area. It is a relatively quiet spot until we start throwing metal poles onto the back of the truck. That process makes a lot of noise that echoes through the street. We have a lot of inventory packed into a very small storage space. There are stacks of plastic chairs reaching almost to the ceiling. We spend our mornings checking the local schedule to see which families need their setups finished first. Sometimes our work takes us out toward the lake, and other times we stay right here in the streets of Shantipura. The sun can be incredibly hot when we are out in an open field trying to get a large tent stood up. We do not have any fancy job titles here. We just work until the job is done. My brother and I handle the majority of the heavy lifting ourselves. We have been working around Anasagar Road for many years and we know all the shortcuts to avoid the worst of the city traffic. People stop by the shop to chat or ask about our availability. We do not have a website or anything like that because we prefer to just talk to people face to face. Sometimes the fabric gets a little faded from being out in the sun, but it still does the job.
