We operate out of Hathibhata, and most of our days are spent loading and unloading heavy trucks. This isn't an office job. We deal with large rolls of fabric, heavy metal poles, and stacks of plastic chairs. Everything gets a bit dusty because we are always moving things from the warehouse to different sites. When there is a wedding or a local function, we are up at dawn trying to get the structures built. It’s physical work. We have to hammer stakes into the ground and pull ropes until our hands get calloused. The fabric we use comes in all sorts of colors, and sometimes it gets small tears or stains that we have to patch up and clean by hand. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; people just know us from seeing our trucks around Hathibhata. The storage space is a bit of a mess sometimes because things come back from events in a hurry. We spend the quiet days sorting through the lights and checking the wires to make sure nothing is frayed. It gets really hot working under the sun, especially during the summer months, but we just get on with it. We have some old wooden desks where we keep track of the bookings in a paper ledger. It’s a straightforward business, mostly just sweat and heavy lifting to get the job done for the families in the neighborhood.
