Narendra Tent House

Narendra Tent House is our small business located right in the middle of Naya Bazar. Being so close to Dargah Bazar means there is always a lot of noise and people moving around outside our door. We spend most of our hours moving heavy chairs and big rolls of fabric back and forth. The streets around here are very narrow, so getting our delivery vehicle in and out can be a real struggle some days. I have lived in this neighborhood my whole life, so I know most of the people who walk by. We are not trying to be a big corporation. We just provide the basic things people need for their local events and gatherings. Some days are spent repairing small tears in the older tents or scrubbing the carpets we rent out. It is dusty and tiring work. People often stop by while they are doing their regular shopping in the market to talk about their upcoming family functions. We do not use computers or fancy systems; we mostly just write everything down in a notebook. It works fine for us. My family started this a long time ago and we have just kept it going. The constant sound of the bazaar is something you just get used to after a while. Sometimes we sit on the front steps when things are slow. Dealing with the crowds in Naya Bazar is just part of our daily life.
