Vardhman Tent House

Vardhman Tent House is located in Nasirabad in the Bihari Ganj neighborhood. It is a pretty simple setup we have here with a few storage sheds for our poles, connectors, and cloth rolls. Most of the work involves making sure nothing is broken and that the canvas doesn't have any holes. If we find a tear, we just sit down and sew it up ourselves. Life in Bihari Ganj is very steady, and we see the same people every day. We don't have any glossy brochures or fancy things to show people. We just have our hands and the equipment we've collected over the years. The humidity in this area can be a real problem because it makes the heavy tents even heavier when they get damp. We try our best to keep everything dry, but it is a constant job. My younger brother helps me with some of the paperwork, but mostly we are both out there with the guys doing the lifting. It is a physical life, and we are usually tired by the time the sun goes down. We like to sit out front in the evening and just watch the traffic on the road once the air cools off a bit. It is not a complicated business, just a lot of moving parts that we have to keep track of every day of the week.
