Shree Bhati Tent House

Gulabbari is a very busy area and that is where we keep all of our equipment. Shree Bhati Tent House has been around here in Ajmer Nayaghar for quite a long time now. We have a lot of iron poles and heavy cloth and plastic chairs stored in the godown. Most days we are just loading or unloading a truck. It is heavy work and our hands get calloused from all the metal. When there is a wedding nearby we are up very early in the morning. We haul the stuff to the site and start putting up the structure. It is dusty and loud work. Sometimes the weather doesn't help at all especially when it rains and the fabric gets really heavy. We don't have a big office or anything like that here. It is just us and the equipment. Usually someone is sitting outside on a small stool near the entrance. People come by to ask about dates for their family functions. We check the big register we keep on the desk inside. My cousins work with me here. We know the roads around Gulabbari very well. We have set up tents in almost every corner of this neighborhood. It is not easy moving all those carpets and lights. At the end of the day we are just tired and covered in dust. We close up the shutters and head home. That is how life goes here.
