Om Tent House

We’ve been here in Gandhi Nagar for a good while now. It’s mostly just us and a few helpers getting things ready for whatever function is coming up next in Madanganj. Usually, it’s weddings or some local community gathering that needs a lot of covers and seating. Our storage space is mostly full of poles, colorful cloth, and those heavy metal chairs that we’ve moved around a thousand times. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult or the wind picks up and we have to go back and double-check everything we put up. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when the sun is beating down on us in the afternoon. We don’t really do fancy office stuff; most of our time is spent out on the ground or checking that the fabric isn't torn. People just stop by the shop when they need something for a party or if they’re planning a big meal for the neighborhood. We know most of the faces around here by now. It gets really busy during the wedding season, and sleep becomes a bit of a luxury then. We just try to keep the stuff clean and make sure we have enough hands to get the job done on time. It isn't always perfect, and sometimes a truck gets delayed or we run out of a certain color of drape, but we manage to figure it out. That’s just how it goes here in this part of town.
