Kumawat Tent House

Kumawat Tent House is located on the road leading to the Govt School near Jwarshala in Pisangan. It is a quiet enough area until the school bell rings and the kids come out. We have been based here for many years, providing tents and things for local events and house parties. Our days are filled with sorting through bundles of cloth and making sure the metal pipes are straight. It is a lot of manual labor, and my back usually aches by the evening. We have a small crew and we all just pitch in to get the trucks loaded before the sun gets too high. Sometimes we are setting up for a wedding and other times it is just a small canopy for a prayer meeting. We have a lot of old wooden chairs that we have to keep painting and fixing so they don't break. It is not a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy and fed. People walk over from the nearby houses to ask if we are free for a certain date. We usually just check our big paper ledger to see if the day is open. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements around. Word of mouth is how most people find us in this town. We just try to make sure that once the tent is up, it stays up safely. The road can get a bit muddy when it rains, which makes moving the heavy equipment a real pain.
