Kamal Tent House

You can find Kamal Tent House right at Mahaveer Circle near Shubash Bag. It’s a big open area so we have plenty of space to move our equipment around. We handle tents and all the things that go with them for local gatherings. Our shop is more like a warehouse than a regular store. It’s filled with heavy poles, folded canvases, and stacks of chairs. It’s physical work, and my clothes are usually a bit dusty from handling the gear. We are right near the circle, so there’s always the sound of horns and traffic in the background. When there’s a big event at Shubash Bag, we are usually the ones running back and forth. I don’t spend much time sitting down. I’m usually checking the ropes or making sure the cloth isn't torn. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the morning, so we usually have the big doors wide open. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and we know how to set things up even when the ground is uneven. It’s not a fancy office, just a place where we keep the tools of our trade. People come by to book us for weddings or small parties at home. We just tell them what we have and we get it done. It’s hard work, but we like being part of the local celebrations.
