Our spot is over at B/66 in the Noor-E-Burhan Society. If you know Juhapura and the Sarkhej Road area in Ahmedabad, you know it stays pretty active all the time. We are White Calls Services India. It’s mostly just us sitting at our desks with headsets on for a good part of the day. The office isn’t anything you’d see in a magazine, just a practical space where we get the work done. We handle a lot of calls and data stuff for people. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and that is the highlight of the afternoon. We have been in this society for a while now, so the neighbors know us. The parking outside can be a bit of a mess in the mornings, but we manage somehow. We aren’t a big multinational firm with thousands of people. It’s a local setup where we know each other's names and families. We deal with whatever problems come up on the phone lines and try to keep the computers running smooth. Ahmedabad weather usually means the air conditioning is working overtime. We just show up, do our shifts, and go home. It’s honest work and we don't try to pretend it is something more than that. Most of the time it’s just quiet focusing on the screens. If you walk past the door, you might hear us talking to people on the other end of the phone.
