Our firm, Wadia Ghandy & Co., has an office in the Maninagar East area of Ahmedabad. We are located in Safalkunj Society, right at number 28. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s a bit quieter than being in the middle of the city center. We are advocates and solicitors, which basically means we spend our days dealing with legal documents and going to the local courts. The office is on Punjab National Bank Road, so it’s easy enough for people to find us once they get into the society. We aren't a giant corporate firm with hundreds of lawyers in suits. We have a small team here who works on various legal matters for local clients. There’s usually a lot of paper stacked up on the desks and the smell of old files in the air. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or friends who needed a contract checked or a property issue sorted out. It’s a straightforward way to work. We try to be clear about what’s happening with a case without using too much of that complicated legal talk. Some days are stressful when there’s a lot of pressure from the court, but mostly we just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a steady pace here in Khokhara, and we’ve been part of this community for a long time now.
