Travel Agent

I started this travel agency right here in Patel Society a good while back. It’s just a small office in Sadarnagar, nothing too big. Mostly, I spend my days on the phone or looking at flight schedules on the old monitor. People from the neighborhood come by when they want to visit family or maybe take a trip somewhere new. It’s a lot of looking at maps and trying to find the right dates for folks. Ahmedabad can get hot, so the AC in the office is usually humming away while we work. I don't use any of those fancy websites that promise the world, I just look at what's actually available on the system. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait, but the tea is always hot. It's a local business, so I know most of the people who walk in. They trust me to find a decent price on a ticket. I’ve lived in this part of town forever, so I know the shortcuts and the best times to avoid the traffic around here. It isn’t a corporate headquarters, just a desk and some chairs and a lot of paper piled up on the side. If you need a ticket or a bus booked, you just come sit down and we talk it through. It's simple work but I like it. I plan to keep doing this as long as people need help getting to where they need to go.
