Travel Agency/Ticketing

We are based out of a society house in New Naroda, over on G.D. School Road. The address is 175/A in the Prabhakar Society, which is a fairly quiet residential spot in the Saijpur Boga area. It’s a bit different running a ticketing and travel agency from a house, but it works for us. We have a small desk set up with a computer and a printer that never seems to stop running. People from the neighborhood usually just walk over when they need to book a bus or a flight to see their relatives. We spend most of the day looking at schedules and trying to figure out the best routes for them. Ahmedabad is a big city, and Naroda is tucked away a bit, so we serve a lot of local families who have been here as long as we have. The office isn't fancy at all, just some files, a couple of chairs for people to wait, and a calendar on the wall with all the holidays marked out. We don't do much advertising because word of mouth in the society keeps us busy enough. Sometimes the kids from the school nearby make a lot of noise in the afternoon, but we don't mind it. It’s just part of being in this neighborhood. We handle the bookings, print the papers, and make sure everyone knows what time their ride leaves. It’s just a normal day here.
