The Westend Hotel

You can find The Westend Hotel over at D/14, Uday Row Houses. We are right opposite the Vastrapur Railway Station on Vejalpur Road in Ahmedabad. It is a bit of a different setup since we are in row houses rather than a big tall hotel building. It makes things feel a bit more like a home. We spend our time checking in guests and making sure the rooms are okay. Being near the railway station means we get a lot of travelers who are just passing through. It can get pretty loud when the trains go by, but you stop noticing it after a few days. We handle the laundry, the cleaning, and the keys. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the units. The garden area needs a lot of water because of the Ahmedabad heat. We aren't a big chain with uniforms and scripts. We just talk to people like normal. Sometimes we have to fix a leaky tap or help someone with their bags. The tea stall nearby is where we usually get our morning drinks. It is just a simple way to run a hotel. We’ve been at this spot for a good while. People find us because we are so close to the station. We just keep the place running as best as we can every single day. The evening breeze is nice.
