The Pride Hotel

We are based out of D 20, Shyam Sadan here in Jaipur. Rajasthan is a hot place, but we’ve made ourselves a comfortable spot in this building. It’s more of a home-grown setup than what you might expect. When people think of hotels, they think of big signs, but we keep things a bit more low-key at this location. We spend a lot of time on the phone and dealing with paperwork to keep everything running. The building, Shyam Sadan, is a familiar landmark for those of us who live in the area. We’ve got a small staff who have been with us for years. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows your name. We don't have a lot of corporate rules; we just try to treat people right and get the work finished before the sun goes down. Jaipur is a beautiful city, and being part of it feels good. We see a lot of tourists passing through the city, but our office stays pretty focused on the behind-the-scenes stuff. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s not a perfect system, but it works for us. We focus on the practical side of things. If someone needs help or has a question, they just walk in and ask. There’s no need for an appointment or a fancy suit. Just real people working in a real building in the heart of Rajasthan, making things work.
