The Leela - A Ghm Resort, Goa

Our place is located way down south in Goa, specifically in Mobor near Cavelossim. We are The Leela, which is a resort, but this is just us talking about who we are on the ground. The property is quite large and sits right between the river and the sea. Working here means dealing with a lot of different things every day. We have people looking after the gardens, others cleaning the rooms, and some of us working in the back offices. It is a beautiful spot, but it is also a lot of hard work to keep everything looking decent. The salt air from the ocean can be tough on the buildings, so there is always something that needs fixing or painting. We do not really use the big, fancy words that the travel agents use. For us, it is just about making sure the guests have a place to sleep and something to eat. Some days are incredibly busy when we have big groups staying here, and other days are a bit more relaxed. We have a lot of staff who have been here for years and know every corner of the grounds. It is a community of workers who just want to do a good job. We do not have a corporate mission; we just have a list of chores that need to be done before the sun goes down. It is a nice place to be, but we still have to work hard.
