The Cambay Spa And Resort ,Gandhinagar,Gujarat

Our place is at 49/D, Dharnidhar Bungalows, which is in the Navanaroda area of Ahmedabad. Even though the name mentions Gandhinagar, our daily life happens right here in Krishnanagar. It is a residential-feeling spot, so it doesn't feel like those big, cold resorts you see on television. We are part of the neighborhood. The bungalows around us have families and kids playing in the streets. We handle the spa and resort side of things, which means a lot of laundry and making sure the rooms at 49/D are ready for whoever is coming. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but that makes it a little quieter. The staff is just a group of regular people. We have our tea together in the afternoons when things slow down. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on people seeing our sign and coming in. Sometimes we have to deal with the dusty winds that come through Gujarat, so there is a lot of cleaning involved to keep the place looking decent. We don’t use any fancy language to describe what we do. It is just a business where we try to keep things organized and make sure the water is hot and the beds are comfortable. It is a steady job in a busy part of town. Most days are just about staying on top of the housework.
