Taj Residency

We have been running things here at Taj Residency for a good while now. Our spot is at 71/B Chandan Tenement, right in the Jasodangar Patiya area of Maninagar. If you know Ahmedabad, you know it gets pretty hot and dusty around here, but we try to keep the place cool for anyone stopping by. It is not one of those massive luxury hotels you see in magazines, just a practical place to stay. Most of the people who come through are here for work or maybe visiting relatives nearby. We spend a lot of our mornings checking the rooms and making sure the water is running right. The neighborhood is always busy with scooters and people walking to the market. Sometimes the noise from the street comes inside, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We don’t have a big fancy lobby with marble floors, just some chairs and a desk where we handle the keys. My nephew helps out with the cleaning when he is not at school. We know the local shops well, so if someone needs a tea or a quick snack, we just tell them where to go. It’s a simple life here. We don't do anything too complicated, just make sure there is a bed and a fan that works. It feels like home to us, and we hope it feels okay for the guests too.
