Special Olympics

Our office is at number 29 in Chaitanya Society, which is quite close to the petrol pump near Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, and we operate out of a regular building that fits right in with the rest of the neighborhood. We spend our days here at Special Olympics organizing different local events and dealing with all the paperwork that comes with it. There are usually boxes of equipment or jerseys sitting in the corner, and the walls are covered with posters and schedules. We aren't some big corporate entity; we are just a small group of people who use this space to get things ready for the athletes. People often drop by to ask about the next game or to bring in registration forms. Since we are so close to the stadium, there’s always a bit of a sports vibe in the air. The office itself is pretty basic with some old desks and a few computers that we use for keeping track of everything. We don't have a fancy reception desk, so people usually just walk in and say hello. It can get a bit messy when we are right in the middle of planning something big, but we eventually get everything sorted out. We like being in Chaitanya Society because it’s easy for people to find us, especially being so near the petrol pump. It’s just our local hub for getting things done and making sure everyone can participate.
