Shyam Travels

Our shop is right at Raipur Gate, specifically Shop No 2. Being opposite the St Bus Stand means it gets really noisy and crowded around here, but it's convenient for travelers. We see people getting off buses all day long looking for their next connection. We started Shyam Travels to help folks get their tickets and travel arrangements sorted without having to run all over the city. It’s a small shop, nothing too fancy, just some chairs and a desk where we handle the bookings. Usually, there's a lot of tea drinking and talking about the best roads to take. We know the bus timings by heart because we’ve been here so long. If you're coming from the bus stand, you just cross the road and we're right there. We don't use any high-tech systems, mostly just pens, ledgers, and a lot of phone calls to drivers. Sometimes the traffic at Raipur Gate is a mess, so we tell people to come early. We handle local taxis and some outstation stuff too. It’s a family-style setup. We don't have a big marketing budget, we just rely on people seeing us as they walk by the gate. We've seen this area change a lot over the years, but the bus stand always keeps things moving. If you need a ride or a ticket, we're usually around until late evening. It is just a basic place to get your travel plans fixed up.
