Shyam Caters

If you’ve ever walked down Raipur Road in Maninagar, you know how busy it gets. That’s where we are. Shyam Caters has been doing food for a long time now. It’s mostly about the kitchen and getting things ready for whatever event is coming up next. We don’t have a big fancy office because most of our time is spent around stoves and big pots. Maninagar is a lively place to work. There’s always someone coming by to ask about a menu or to check on an order for a wedding or a small gathering at home. We don't use fancy machines for everything; a lot of it is just hands-on work by people who have been with us for years. The floor usually smells like spices and sometimes it gets a bit loud when we are in a hurry. We just try to make sure the food tastes like it should. It’s not complicated. We have our routine. Early mornings are the toughest when we have to get the fresh stuff in from the market. Raipur Road can be a nightmare with traffic during those hours, but we’ve gotten used to it. We aren't a corporate chain or anything like that. Just a local spot that knows how to feed people. We’ve had the same regulars coming to talk to us for ages. It feels good to be part of the neighborhood here.
