Domino'S

We've been at Krishna Apt for a while now. It's near Chotalal Chawl in Odhav. Most people around here know the spot. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen making sure things are ready. It gets pretty busy, especially in the evenings when families start calling. We try to keep the place clean, though the floor gets messy when the dough is flying around. My cousin helps out on weekends when he isn't busy with school. We aren't a big fancy restaurant, just a small shop where we focus on getting the food out hot. Sometimes the traffic in Ahmedabad makes deliveries tricky, but we do what we can. People come in from the neighborhood, and we know many of them by name. It’s not much, just some ovens and a counter, but it keeps us busy. I usually handle the orders while the other guys handle the oven work. We've seen a lot of changes around Odhav over the years. The street outside is always noisy. We don't have a big team, just a few of us working together. If you walk past Krishna Apartment, you'll probably smell what we're cooking. We just keep our heads down and work. It's a living. We keep extra napkins on the counter because things can get messy. The bike is always parked out front ready for the next run. That’s pretty much us. We have some old chairs for people waiting. The paint on the wall near the oven is a bit bubbled from the heat. My brother used to work here. Now it's just me and two other guys.
