Shriji Printers

Shriji Printers is located deep in the old part of Ahmedabad, specifically at 1667, Gunvant Chowk in Dhal’s Pole. Being near Astodia Chakla means we are right in the middle of a very busy and historic area. The streets are narrow and there is always noise from scooters and people walking by. We’ve been doing printing work here for a long time. Our shop isn't big, but we have our machines squeezed in there. We do all kinds of small printing jobs for the local businesses and families in the pole. Sometimes it’s wedding cards, other times it’s just some forms or flyers. The ink smell is always there, and the machines can be quite loud when they are running. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most people just lean over the counter to tell us what they need. We work with our hands and try to get the orders out as fast as we can, though sometimes the power goes out or a machine breaks down. That’s just part of working in an old building in this part of town. We are just a local family business trying to make a living. We don't do any big marketing. Our customers are mostly people who have been coming to us for years. It’s a simple life and we enjoy being part of the community here in Astodia. We don't have a big sign or anything. Most people just know where the shop is because their fathers and grandfathers came here too. We plan to keep the presses running as long as people still need things printed on paper.
