Shri Tirupati Tours And Travel Services is located right in Bhadrakali Mata Lane over in the Raopura area of Baroda. It is a very tight street, so parking is always a bit of a headache for people coming to see us. We have got old maps pinned up on the walls and a bunch of ledgers where we write down who is going where. Mostly it is local families wanting to see temples or folks going for a wedding in another city. We handle the bus bookings and car rentals for the most part. The fans in the office are always humming because the Baroda heat gets quite bad in the summer months. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers and making sure the tires and engines are okay. It is not a glamorous job, just a lot of checking times and dates. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to do everything by hand, which takes longer but we manage. People stop by for tea and ask about prices for the long weekend trips. We do not have a website that does everything automatically, so you usually have to talk to one of us directly to get things sorted. It has been this way for years and the neighbors in the lane are all friendly. We know the shopkeepers next door well. If we are out for lunch, we just lock the gate and come back soon.
