Shree Shyam Caterers

You can find us at N/11, Gangaram Flat in Dharamnagar. We are right opposite the Sabarmati Railway Crossing. If you live around Sabarmati, you probably know how loud the trains can get sometimes. We started Shree Shyam Caterers because there was always a need for decent food at local gatherings. We are not doing anything revolutionary here. It is mostly about getting the rice right and making sure the dal is not too salty. We spend our mornings at the market picking out whatever looks good that day. My brother and a couple of cousins help out with the prep work. We do not have a huge staff, just a group of people who know how to handle big orders. Sometimes we are working late into the night to get everything ready for an early morning breakfast event. It gets hot in the kitchen, especially in the summer months, but that is part of the job. People usually come by the flat to chat about what they want to eat at their daughter's wedding or a small puja. We do not use any fancy apps or software to track things, just a notebook and some common sense. We have seen a lot of families grow up in this neighborhood over the years. It is nice being part of the community in this way. We just try to show up on time and make sure nobody goes home hungry after a party.
