Shree Maharshi Dhaba (Satellite)

Our spot, Shree Maharshi Dhaba (Satellite), is on the 100 Ft Road. We are in Neel Kanth Palace, specifically units 209 and 210. It is a very busy part of Ahmedabad, right opposite the Apm Super Market and near Sachin Tower. If you know Satellite, you know the traffic never really stops here. We spend a lot of time watching the cars and bikes go by from the front. The kitchen is the main part of what we do. It is noisy with the pots clanging and the burners going. We don't have a lot of space for relaxing. Most of the day is spent checking the supplies and making sure we have enough of everything for the customers. The 380015 area is always moving fast. We get all sorts of people coming in, from office workers to families who are just out for a drive. The furniture is plain because we care more about the cooking than the decor. Sometimes the overhead lights flicker a bit, but we fix them when we have a spare minute. It is an honest living. We open up, set things out, and wait for the rush. The staff has been here for a bit and we all know the routine. It is not like the big fancy restaurants you see in the mall. It is a dhaba at heart, sitting right there on the busy road, just doing what we do every day without much fuss or noise about it.
