Shree Gayatri Spice & Harble

You can usually smell our place before you see it. We are located at 36 Asha Society on College Road in Kalol. We deal with all sorts of spices and herbal products. The shelves are packed with bags and jars. It gets a bit tight in here when we get a new shipment of turmeric or chili. Most of our day is spent weighing things out and packing them for customers who come by. It’s a practical setup, nothing too fancy to look at. We try to keep things clean, but when you’re dealing with fine powders, it’s a bit of a losing battle. The floor always has a bit of a yellow tint from the spices. We talk to the farmers and the suppliers to get what we need. Sometimes the quality isn't what we wanted, so we have to send it back and wait for a better batch. It makes the day longer, but that’s just how it goes. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just know where we are. We spend a lot of time answering questions about which herb is good for what. It’s a steady life here in Kalol. We open up early and stay until the evening. It’s mostly just the two of us handling the shop and the storage. We take a break for lunch when the road gets a bit quieter. Usually, we have some tea while we wait for the afternoon customers.
