At Navinchandra Khubchand & Co, we are based in the Jaldarshan Complex on Ashram Road. This is a very well-known part of the city, right across from where the Natraj Theatre used to be. Ashram Road is always buzzing with activity, being one of the main roads around here. Our office in the complex is a bit more formal than a workshop, but it still has that lived-in feel. We have been here for a good number of years, and the walls are covered with old calendars and maps. It is the kind of place where we still use paper files and sit at heavy wooden desks that have been around since the business started. We don't have any flashy decorations or modern art on the walls. Most of our day is spent handling paperwork, taking calls from long-time clients, and maybe having a few cups of tea with visitors who drop by just to say hello. The view from the window shows the constant stream of cars and buses going past. It’s a bit noisy, but it makes you feel like you are right in the center of everything. We have seen many businesses come and go on Ashram Road, and the Jaldarshan Complex itself has aged along with us. We like the stability of it. It’s a reliable spot to do business, and we don't feel the need to change things just for the sake of looking more modern.
