Rafiqbhai

Rafiqbhai is based out of 1044 Jivanpole in Kalupur Panchpatti. This is the heart of the old city in Ahmedabad. It’s very crowded and the streets are very narrow. You can’t even get a big car down some of these lanes. It’s full of history and old buildings. We work out of this small spot in the pole. It’s noisy and full of life all day long. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us here doing our business. Whether it’s talking to neighbors or handling local trade, we stay busy. You can smell the food cooking from the houses nearby and hear the scooters buzzing past the door. We aren't trying to be some high-end firm. We are just part of the fabric of Kalupur. Our day starts early when the market picks up. We deal with whatever comes our way, mostly face-to-face with people we’ve known for years. It’s not fancy and the walls might need a bit of paint, but it’s where we do our work. We use simple English because that’s what we know. There’s no mission statement on the wall, just a calendar and maybe a picture or two. If you need us, you have to find your way through the winding paths of the old city. It’s a special place to be, even with all the heat and the dust. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else but right here.
