Shell Transource Ltd

Our office for Shell Transource is at D724 in Simapark, over in Ambicanagar, Odhav. This part of Ahmedabad is very industrial, so there are always trucks moving around and the sound of machinery in the distance. We handle a lot of the transport and logistics side of things from this little spot. It’s a practical workspace, mostly just desks and a big map on the wall. We spend most of our day on the phone with drivers or checking where a shipment is currently located. It can get quite stressful when a truck breaks down or there’s a delay at the border. We don’t have fancy furniture or a modern design. The walls are a bit plain and the floor is just concrete, but it works for what we do. There’s always a pot of tea going in the corner because we need it to stay sharp. We aren't a big corporation with thousands of employees in this office; it’s just a handful of us making sure things move from point A to point B. The air in Odhav is a bit dusty because of all the factories, so we keep the windows shut most of the time. We just focus on the logs and the schedules. It’s not exciting work for everyone, but it’s what we know how to do well. We just keep trucking along.
